Introduction
If you are not aware of, hacklido’s main motive is to have a platform open for readers and writers to pour in cybersecurity content and knowledge without setting any kind of paywall. So how do the writers get benefitted? Why should writers get benefitted in the first place? Well, writers are the source of content for hacklido. hacklido doesn’t make its own content. So it’s the writers who keep hacklido alive. hacklido is not just a platform, it’s the readers and writers. One cannot exist without the other. We at hacklido try our max to keep both intact by connecting readers and writers under a dedicated platform.
Who gets rewarded and how?
Knowing the importance of writers, you should also know who these writers are. Are they recruited or hired by hacklido? The simple answer is NO. Since the platform is open, anyone who wishes to contribute to the cause of having open and free knowledge can start writing. So how do you choose to reward a writer that you don’t know? We at hacklido have some metrics. It’s kept private to prevent any kind of exploitation of the WRAP. Although, here are a few things that you need to consider:
Eligibility Criteria
Who is eligible to be rewarded by the WRAP? Well, it’s quite simple and straightforward. Just make sure to meet the following criteria and you are good to go.
- Should have posted at least 5 blogs at hacklido and tagged
@hacklido with the blog link on Twitter.
- 2 of the blogs must be exclusive to hacklido.
- Thereafter, for the blogs to be eligible for the WRAP, they should be exclusive to hacklido.
- Reposting the same content elsewhere after the reward program is strictly considered as an unloyal move and will be suspended from the WRAP.
What rewards?
Now that you are aware of to who and how rewards are decided, it’s time that you get to know about what are the possible rewards that a writer can expect to receive. It can be anything among the following list
- Cash,
- Merch,
- THM, HTB, etc kind of vouchers,
- Premium Courses from influencers,
- Premium Content like private notes, etc…
How will I get my reward?
The above-mentioned rewards will be directly delivered to your private discussion inbox at hacklido.com [Create an Account and take a look at the left sidebar in the home page] if it’s digitally deliverable, else in case of rewards like merch require further private discussion which will also take place in the same portal. We will not contact you via any other means unless and until explicitly announced. So don’t fall for others’ traps.
Is there any limitations in the WRAP?
Let’s put it this way, we at hacklido.com will not do ads that are irrelevant. So there won’t be much Ad Revenue to Generate. Our only go-to source is community sponsorships. These sponsorships come in terms of promotional messages at various peak spots of the platform. We use these sponsorships to reward the writers. Understanding…
- Trust the system and write your blogs, if your blogs deserve the reward, you will get it for sure.
- hacklido is not a platform where you can earn by writing. It’s not that we cannot make it that way, it’s the fact that we don’t wish to move to the commercial side and wish to keep the platform open.
- There is no demographic discrimination for the reward delivery. If cash it will be in USD

As on 5th December 2022 - hacklido’s WRAP Program will take effect and all the blog posts and writers coming forth will go under metrics to be rewarded by the Official Writers Reward Program - WRAP.
