Send us a news tip
Tips from readers, insiders and researchers drive a large share of our reporting. Email [email protected] with the subject line TIP and include:
- what happened, and when you learned about it;
- any documents, screenshots, advisories or artefacts you can share;
- whether you are willing to be named, or need to stay anonymous;
- how we can verify the information independently.
We take source protection seriously. If you need to stay anonymous, say so in your first message and do not send anything from a work device or work email account. We will not publish identifying details about a source without explicit consent, and we grant anonymity where a source faces real legal, professional or physical risk. See our Editorial Policy for how we apply this.
Report an error
If we published something inaccurate, tell us and we will fix it in the open. Email [email protected] with the subject line CORRECTION, and include the article URL, the specific claim you believe is wrong, and any source that supports the correction.
Verified factual errors are corrected promptly with a dated correction note on the article. The full process is on our Corrections Policy page.
Responsible disclosure
Reporting a vulnerability to us
If you have found a security issue in hacklido.com or this news site, email [email protected] with the subject line SECURITY. Please include reproduction steps and give us reasonable time to remediate before publishing. We will acknowledge your report, keep you updated, and credit you publicly if you would like that.
Asking us to cover a disclosure
If you are a researcher with a vulnerability or a report you want covered, send us the technical detail along with the vendor's disclosure timeline and current patch status. We will not publish working exploit code or details that leave users exposed while a fix is unavailable, as set out in our Editorial Policy.
Press and media enquiries
For interview requests, comment from our editors, speaking invitations, or research collaboration, email [email protected] with the subject line PRESS. Please include your outlet, deadline and topic.
Right of reply
If your organisation is named in one of our articles and you want to respond, dispute a characterisation, or add context, contact us with the subject line RIGHT OF REPLY. Substantive responses are added to the article with a note recording that they were added after publication.
Advertising, partnerships and PR
HackNews does not sell links, guest posts, or editorial placement, and we do not publish press releases as articles. If you are pitching a genuine story, send the substance rather than the release. Partnership and sponsorship enquiries can go to [email protected] with the subject line PARTNERSHIP; the rules that govern any such arrangement are on our Ownership & Funding page.
Write for HackNews
We publish technical writeups, CTF walkthroughs and analysis from the community. Pitch with the subject line CONTRIBUTE, including a short outline and a link to previous work. Contributors are credited with a full byline and an author page. We do not accept ghostwritten vendor content or AI-generated submissions.
Privacy and data requests
For questions about the personal data we hold, or to make a data access or deletion request, email [email protected] with the subject line PRIVACY. See our Privacy Policy for details.
